Buying Text Links, Is It Really Worth It?

When it comes to website marketing it is common knowledge that the only real way to increase a steady flow of quality traffic is to write high quality, original content, and conducing a linking campaign. The question I would like to answer in this article is it really worth paying for links, or is it better to do it yourself to get free permanent links?

If you are looking to pay per link, you have a few options. First, you could purchase a text links ad. All this is is a short headline with a top, with a short description of your website below. You can purchase these either on a mouthy plan, or for a one-time fee. Problem with the mouthly plan is when you stop paying you lose your link. You could also use the pay one-time plan for roughly $1-5 per link, no mouthy fee anymore. However, is this really worth it.

The problem with both of these approaches is that you literally need thousands of links to bring the steady, high quality traffic you want to your website. In addition, the more links you add to a webpage, no matter how high the page rank is, lowers the real visitors you would get from the webpage, as well as the overall page rank increase. Just like any real world real estate there is a limit to the amount of use buildings you can build on it, or in cyber space, there is a limit to the amount of any useful outbound links per webpage.

My advice is simple, use a program like Zeus to build links yourself. They are permanent, free, but it does take some time and effort.
