How to Use the Power of Affiliate Marketing for Selling Your E-book
I recently received an e-mail from a reader asking my advice on how to convince other webmasters to sell his new informational e-book on their websites. Here a few hints on accomplish this.
First, is your e-book related to the theme of the webmasters website? Many people think it is better to have their e-book on as many websites as possible, thinking that the higher the number of websites the greater their sales. Nothing could be further from the truth. Do you honestly think that a webmaster of an auto body repair website would be interested in an e-book about the top ten secrets of cleaning tables? Find websites with themes closely related to your e-book, you will find the webmasters a lot more receptive to your offer, and your sales will be much higher as well.
Second, do you have a quality e-book to sell, or is this something you wrote last night after visiting the bar for several hours? While my point about writing an e-book after drinking at a bar for several hours may seem extreme, many of us have read e-books that seem to have been written by a drunk. If you are not a gifted writer then please visit www.rentacoder.com and hire a pro for $.02-.03 cents a word to write your e-book for you. To get a quality writer for your first project only use Top Coders until you have more experience with the website.
Three, how is the copy of your sales letter? This is critical and should not be left to amateurs.
* First give your product away with the understanding that the user will write a review of your product and provide their real, full name and e-mail address.
* I would work on this until you have at least 24 endorsements. While it would be nice to have Bill Gates endorse your e-book, it is not necessary.
* Potential buyers of your e-book will want to read about what other, read people, think about your e-book, and be able to contact this real person via e-mail.
Use these three strategies in your next e-book in order to increase your success rate.
