Creating Plans For Your Success - Planning

If you wish to know just what it takes to make excellent plans, then there are some questions that you need to ask yourself. AND you will need to be very honest in answering these.

Now ask yourself, are you in the habit of making plans ahead of time? Do you include in your plans everything that you want? Do you make plans in advance for your business and your family? Do you see in your mind's eye your plans coming true? How far into the future do your plans actually extend? I will explain just why asking yourself those questions is important when you're making any personal or business plans:

a) Are you in the habit of making plans ahead of time?

Consider whether you practice sitting down every day to make plans. If you aren't, then you have to ask yourself if it's actually important to you because not making plans equates to failing. Making plans everyday might seem straining at first but when you're in the habit of doing it, then it just comes naturally to you. If you do something 21 times, then studies show that's when that activity becomes a habit. This also applies to driving where after 21 instances of driving, your subconscious would handle it for you. Same goes for planning.

Some who write their plans subscribe to the wrong belief that failing to reach these plans is the same as failure. But, to clarify, not reaching one's objectives means one is actually nearer to that goal than before-- one just hadn't exactly hit the mark one was aiming for.

The trick now lies in not despairing over everything not going exactly according to the plan. It isn't the end of the journey that matters but the journey itself.

b) Do you include in your plans everything that you want?

Register down everything that you desire. You have to clearly give your instructions to your mind so that it would know what to do, same as if you were a commander of a ship giving orders to the staff.

Upon writing everything that you want, your unconscious would handle this list of things to do and it would begin remembering ways from its memory to accomplish this. And on the chance that its memory doesn't have any methods available, then your mind would start giving out ideas for the conscious mind to operate on.

c) Do you make plans in advance for your business and your family?

What reason is there not to include plans for business and family in the same breadth? You can consider the two as one because plans for business would have their effects on the future of your family.

d) Do you see in your mind's eye your plans coming true?

You should visualize daily since visualization is what comes from having your plans succeed. Everyday you should allot some time to have in your mind's eye everything- what you would perhaps be seeing, hearing, smelling and feeling- everything that is involved in your daily plans. Anything that you can include into this visualization that allows you to put yourself into a vision of your goals and plans, include in it.

e) How far into the future do your plans actually extend?

I'm willing to bet that your plans are still too shortsighted; they don't extend into the future as far they should. You have to have courage and you have to stand by your beliefs. Think about your offspring and their own offspring and extending your vision all the way to your great, great grand children. Think of how the things you do now have a big consequence on these upcoming descendants and ask yourself if it might be possible that you could do something at the present that could greatly impact them. Perhaps you could do something that would affect these future generations enough to inspire them to follow in your footsteps. Your vision would be what would allow those things to occur.

Now, it's up to you to create those plans that would determine your future. Always remember to visualize everything just as how you truly want everything to be.
